In 2002, Breton Gildas Loaëc and Japanese-born Masaya Kuroki used their cultural heritages paired with their inspiration from the late 90’s Parisian music and art universe to co-found Maison Kitsuné – a fluid inter-disciplinary lifestyle brand capturing the spirit of the duo’s definition of modern Art de Vivre. From fashion to music and coffee – Maison’s aspiration is to combine the best of those worlds to curate a brand identity that is about more than just clothes.

The multi-talented aesthetes channel their love of fashion in acclaimed collections that have found an avid fanbase around the globe. The iconic, ever-evolving fox logo has long become an international symbol for contemporary casual style elevated by tailored elements.

As part of a new Guest Designer series, the Maison Kitsuné studio invites a new creative director for its Spring-Summer 2021 collection, beginning with Paris-trained Marcus Clayton. Like a homecoming, the Spring-Summer 2021 collection draws its inspiration from the thread between Tokyo and Paris:

“The two cities’ light, attitude, good taste, sense of humor and love of beautiful things… This season, Marcus Clayton has reinterpreted the essence of the brand’s dual-city vibes by combining bourgeoise Parisian prepster and Japanese utilitarian streetwear cool. The wardrobes of Tokyo and Parisian youth seem to have merged.”
